Minalungao National Park Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija

Holy week is a time for most of the Catholics to ponder and repent. It was a Holy Wednesday when I finished doing my penance and it looked like it's a time for me to explore as well. So.. I browsed one of the Facebook groups and asked if there's any trip I can join for the following day. To my surprise, there was an instant message and an invitation to join a travel to the North almost that evening. With few hours left, I prepped up and packed my bag for an adventure in Minalungao, Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija

Early meet up in Shell Ayala, I instantly connect with new found sisters and a bro. Ashley, April, Mark and Maya. I was on a moving on phase that time so I can't sleep easily so we all chatted majority of the road trip. We talked about every thing and any thing under the sun which is very very pleasing that we all have our little mid puts from politics to showbiz to travels and food.

Almost Lunch time when we reached our destination, the traffic jam.. oh. urgh. anyway, We were humbly welcomed by Ate Liberty and drive with us to the National Park where we will be meeting her hubby Kuya Darine and start the discovery of the Minalungao National Park.

Famished by the long and winding road, we munched our lunch first. Grilled dishes, soup,  rice and soda.. all set! Since it was a holiday. Swarm of visitors dominated the place. Luckily we have Ate Liberty and Kuya Darine, we didn't have to worry about the whole tour.

Burp. Done eating and ready to kick off. We first took a quick "balsa" to cross the river and meet .. the STAIRS!!! lol it's a pretty high climb but don't worry, its mainly cemented and yeah.. stairsssssssss!!! I'll keep the numbers a secret but I'll tell you, its more than the one in Mt. Tapyas in Bohol. Along the trip, we dropped by the tomb of a famous Korean monk who chose to be buried in the mountains of Minalungao as she adored the gift of nature in that area.

At the top, there's a cross built in shiny mirror like material. It has a great view of the mountains.

Descended from the hill, we then had our rest in our balsa. the cold water of the river was a fresh relief from the staircase encounter. Exploration not over yet! We then took off to the cave of park. It was just a few minutes but the fun with my new found friends was awesome. Due to time constrictions, we weren't able to complete all the activities but it's all worth it. That's the purpose of travelling, meeting new people, discovering and having fun.

Overall the experience that I had with the new found friends and the Minalungao National Park adventure is something I can recommend for those who have a day off with their families and they have a reliable wheels. It's a good quick getaway too for those who are also wanting to get a stress free day from the busyness of the city. And ahem, for those who wants to forget the one who they loved yet broke their heart multiple times.

You may contact Kuya Darine and Ate Liberty and they can give you great packages. They offer day tour and over night stay from a minimum of 2 pax to approximately more than 10. They can meet you somewhere in the city and ride with you to the park or give you detailed instructions on how to get there. And oh by the way, Kuya Darin takes good pictures too so have your camera's ready and let him capture your Minalungao shots.

Captain America: Civil War

April 27,2016. Newport Cinemas Resorts World Manila. A Marvel Movie Battle I will never ever forget. Captain America: Civil War blasted the movie screen on its premier when the clock hits 8:00 pm last night.

Lucky to be one of the chosen ones by Next of Light Network, I've watched a phenomenal movie of a life time. Not really a fan of comics and stuff but I have watched Marvel movies for quite sometime already. I'm a fan of blasts and powers and you know, those kind of effects where someone has this special ability. This film really rocked my night.

I arrived in RWM a few minutes before 7PM to get my pass and oh my gawd. fans of Marvels from young age to young hearts swarmed in the entrances and ticket booths of Newport Cinema. There was even a dad wearing a spider man costume with his family and kids. Some were wearing shirts with Iron man or Captain America. It's like a political campaign between those superheroes!

I was assisted very well by our friends in PMCM Events Management until the time we needed to go inside the movie house. I went out for a while then when I got back, I was pretty surprised when my name was called because I won in a raffle by Cross!! And I was like wwwhooaaa!! ahah never really won something flashy in a bloggers meet and hell yeah my smile crossed my ears! Thank God for this blessing and to Cross, I really like the prize! Sophisticated and elegant pen just like me. ahem. :p
There are other winners too but wait it's just one time for me so lets keep the spotlight on me for a few lol.

Though I was sitting just a seat away from the big screen, I didn't trade places because I fealt really comfy with my seat already. I was a happy kid. When the light dimmed and the movie started, I was like here we goooooo!! Honestly, I was somewhat expecting it to be a little sort of like uhmm similar to a recent super hero film i watched but hey hey hey... this one is like a juicy yummy action filled movie that i liked!!! and oh yeah fights scenes are AWESOME! not too runchy but just enough to make me say wow. It also took us to different places in the world because of the plot, hey, travelling while just sitting back and relaxing while watching a movie.. what more can I ask for the night?!!

DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL THE CREDITS ARE ALL DONE! again. ALL DONE! or else you'll miss a very enticing teaser!! I though it was over until I was supposed to step out I heard something and I was like.. no way.. almost missed that!!

On our way out, the generous sponsors of the block screening shared some of their goodies to those who watched it with them. Overall, the Movie is a 9 / 10 for me. it was great and I didn't fell asleep nor got bored. right balance of action and effects and the story, WOW. SO COOL.

Special Thanks again to Next Tugade of Light Network, PMCM Events Management, Newport Cinema Resortworld Manila, Cross, When in Manila, Hygienix, Youc1000, Nissin Yakisoba, Kettle Korn, etc.

and oh.. yeah.. Im for team Captain America. oohh I dont wanna spoil anything but if you gonna watch it.. ohh there's a scene there where he flexed.. I was like.. Oh.. wow... Hallelujah!!! lol. Highly recommended film and I bet its worth to see in the big screen! have fun and enjoy!!

Philippine's Presidential Election 2016

Many of us have watched the debates. Perhaps one or two out of three. Have seen social media feeds from tv,fb,ig etc. Have heard words from the candidates from their campaigns and thru radio interviews. Many of us have deciphered the platforms, capabilities, possibilities, potentials and including the character and behaviours of the presidential candidates. Some of us werent convinced and some already decided on who to vote. Some of us try to convince those who are undecided to vote for who we are rooting for.

I believe that we should not just focus on those who cant pick their bets yet. But we, as social media users and community called netizens, should be more concerned about those fellow voters who doesnt have access like us. On how we can influence them, not specifically to vote for our chosen one but, to use their one voice to stand up and use for their welfare. For the common good. For their family and community. Its a fact that majority of the voters are from areas and whose mindsets are somehow different from us. Propaganda, vote buying, dirty tactics, etc are already expected. Lets be real.

If you're reading this, i challenge you. Yes you a fellow Filipino voter. To reach out to those who needs us. Who needs to be informed. Who needs opinions and options that will greatly affect us. This isnt just an election. This is the gauge of our country as a nation. Lets not bash each other for having different candidates that we will support. Lets divert that energy. Effort and knowledge to those who needs it. The Filipino mass.lets do our part. Lets all act. Lets help each other. Lets reach out. Lets all be responsible. Let our sole voices be a spark of flame of good information. Let us start the march and choir of a hopeful new era of our country

* this is just my personal opinion and my two cents regarding the coming Presidential election in the Philippines 2016.

Sapi-an Capiz Grotto: Stop over

Traveling Panay Island and got some spare time?
Along the way, you may visit the Grotto in Sapi-an Capiz. It's a hill created for devotees and for those who wish to have a place of tranquility amidst the hurly burly city life.

Grotto in Sapi-an has a pool of Koi fishes as you enter and you may buy fish feed for 5php in their receiving area. You can also see the schedule of the mass posted there.

. If you like stairs and prepared for an ascend, it has a series of it and it will take you to a stunning ending. Along the way you will be welcomed by a big image of Our Lady of Lourdes where you can light candles (you can also but it from the entrance). You can also touch the image from its back, The top of the hill, you will see a sculpture of Jesus' resurrection and a tall cross on the other side. Though the original structure was affected by the recent super typhoon, the promise of the view from the hilltop is greatly rewarding.

When you go down the stairs, you can also see an Adoration chapel where you can rest your soul in prayers and communion with God.

If you're looking for some spiritual hub and in Roxas City or Iloilo, you can take a bus ride and drop off in Mambusao Capiz, You can take a motor bike ride to the place of prayers in a few minutes.

There's no entrance fee but you may donate your extra blessing in their donation boxes. This place is recommended for those who got some spare time and wanted to see something related to the Catholic religion. At least 15 to an hour will be enough for a quick drop by. As long as, where ever you are, you have a strong faith in God and submit to Him everything.
