White Pebbles Beach : Camarines Sur

White, black, grey and sometimes cream are usually the colours of the shores of famous beaches. A beach bummer who doesnt know how to swim ( me :p ) has been to many shorelines in and out the Philippines and rarely been to a coast line full of pebbles. In our recent trip to Naga City, with my great online writer friends Christine ( http://www.jovialwanderer.com/ ) , Kara ( http://www.traveling-up.com/ ) and Estan ( http://langyaw.com/ ), we were taken to a haven by our fellas from NagaX just after the coverage of the 1st Mt. Isarog Eco Challenge.

Pebbles as big as your favourite "Panghilod" (rock scrub ?), more or less as small as  a quail egg and some are as white as snow. What name would you think best fit the place? of course, White Pebble beach resort!

Strong blue skies fancied our afternoon visit. White Pebble beach is a definite place to go to during summer! Just a few minutes of private travel from  Naga Centro, your feet can feel the sea carved rocks on your feet.

Long stretch of white coated coast is just a feast in the eyes, plus the cool breeze from the ocean? sigh.. isn't it divine?

We settled in  a very big and nice bungalow in front of the beach that you can rent for only 3500. It has a billiard table inside, big kitchen, two big rooms, big washroom and a big resting area. yeah its pretty big for the price! sulit na sulit! (very affordable) Fabolous! There are other bungalows and cottages you can rent for a very negotiable price! perfect for family outing or even barangay beach day out!

Surprises kept on coming, just across the beach is a museum housing countless numbers of sea shells. From tiny ones to huge ones, from the typical sungka beads to shells that I've never seen before, from plain ones to multi-colored husks! Ah.May.Zing! Discovering some great stuff from the depth of the ocean in front of our eyes!

Boat was waiting for some cave discovering! Since it can only accommodate a minimal passengers, I decided to stay in the beach. You can ask the locals on how to rent a boat to take you to a cavern nearby. They can also assist you if you wish to do some diving as the area also hosts spots good for under water quests.

My dear sissie Chrissy and I took the time to soak into the waters of the beach! oh!! the water is just perfect! not too cold and not even hot. just.. fine.. perfectly lukewarm, She's a great swimmer while I showed her how I "swim", first i take a scoop of water to my arms, then to my hair, then to my shoulders and hair again and then face! viola! I'm all wet and done swimming! LOL just kidding, of course i soaked myself in! Washing away those stress in my body. oh just so.. wow.

Estan, Kara and the rest came back and we were approached by their barangay captain. The people were smiling and very hospitable. Very Filipino. They share some stories about the place and even gave us delicious turons and oh oh oh my favourite!! fresh coconut!! oh copa cabana moment!

Swimming, caving, shell museum gazings, billiards, even trekking are in store for those who will visit the place! But wait.. there's more.. Ahem.. Singing? they also have a videoke machine for rent!

Relaxation and recreation rolled into one resort. No dull moment in this part of Camarines Sur. As the sun was about to set and we're about to board back to the town center, I have to say, White Pebble beach is a great place to visit. Shore, sun, water, sky and nature in a remarkable sanctuary, It defines why is it more fun in the Philippines, more fun in Bicol, more fun in Cam Sur.

Fila Pinas meet and greet event in SM Megamall

Volcanos. Ice and Fashion merged into one hot afternoon in Fila SM Megamall, June 21st 2014. This power combination was made possible by Fila Philippines as they invited the public to meet, have a photo op and autograph with the Philippine Volcano, Fabio Ide, Tessa Prieto-Valdez and Michael Martinez.

Hunk Celebrity Fabio Ide is one of the hottest promoter of the Philippines leading athletic brand. It's pretty nice to see how approachable he is and how he enjoyed taking selfies with his fans. He's known for his Adonis-ish physique and comic antics in some of the shows he's in. The way he tries to speak straight Filipino tickles his audience to the core.

Tessa Prieto-Valdez is the one and only fashion extraordinaire I admire the most. Extreme and  Avant-garde attire on most of her guestings definitely makes her the total head turner. She's also one of the elite endorser of Fila and was jovial in signing autographs and striking that smile in every flash.

Fila is a proud sponsor of the pride of the Philippines in the field of rugby, The Volcanos. Hot sexy men in the trendiest shoes and apparels, what more can you ask for? these guys let their guards down and came close to their supporters.

Good looks, humble heart and adorable personality, the newest member of the Fila league of endorsers, Michael Martinez. Cute young Michael made history when he made the world roar in his spectacular ice skating rink prowess and the idea that he's from a tropical country where no snow has even fall. Fans from all ages shivered in kiligness when he smiles and talks like he's just a friend next door.

Fila SM Megamall branch was filled with smiles as enthusiasts went in, congratulated and wished the athletes luck in their future athletic battles. When our fellow kababayans did wacky shots with the fashion icons of this generation present in the event.

Naga City; A prelude

Naga City, Philippines; a place of vast culture and wonders of Mother Nature. Located in Bicol region, the city has been a melting pot of different cultures and traditions from the nearby provinces. Playing a role of a "metro", it became a center of modernization, trade and commerce catering to all business from a small bakery to shopping malls, hotels and a lot more. An 8 to 10 hour bus drive from Cubao or a few minutes flight from Manila, you will reach this very interesting independent component city in the heart of Bicol.

Mountains surrounds the city, climbers will certainly love the challenges of the trails and the beauty of the environment, with a list of majestic waterfalls and welcoming rain forests, trekkers will have a full itinerary for at least a month or more to discover all the wonders hidden in the prominent land masses.

Mt. Isarog is one of the nearest mountain you can conquer, it houses more or less a hundred falls, tough vines and rocks you can cling on your journey and strong friendly local guides who will help you out in the course.

Food will entice all those who enjoys gastronomical extravaganzas with their pili products, toasted siopao and Kinalas. Restaurants and bars are within reach with an 8 peso base tricycle rate. Foodie? Don’t worry! Just be ready.

Beach bummers and divers can immerse in the ethereal waters of the seas surrounding the province. Clear blue waters and rich marine life are waiting for those who wish to have a memorable coast experience.

White Pebbles Beach has a great shore with, of course, beautiful pebbles and a very inviting beach you can get pleasure from. There’s a few diving spot and caves you can visit via boat ride from there.

Budget travelers can chose from its wide range of accommodations. Affordable and reasonably priced hotels and inns are geared with welcoming smiles and warm hospitality.

Activities and sights, tastes and experience, Naga City offers more than the usual ones. Know more about this place and how to explore without dealing with travel operators or being misled by some online vacation offers. They have a local directory and guide from the government called Naga X (Naga Excursion). They provide information directly from the city’s calendar and supporting establishments.

YOLO (You Only Live Once), enjoy life, discover the Philippines, visit Metro Naga and have a great time. They certainly can deliver what they can tender! Be surprised, you might be thinking of coming back even on your last night in city. Just imagining the things you will do on your next visit, so exciting!! Take it from me, I wrote this blog before we go home.
