Bohol
Philippines is one of the finest destinations in our country. I can attest to
its greatness when it comes to hospitality, great beaches and phenomenal
historical landmarks.
Recently,
the department of tourism of Bohol had a tourism fair in glorietta one where
they featured list of accommodations and activities that you can do when in
Bohol They also showcased some local delicacies and handicrafts made by
Boholanos.
Giselle
Sanchez, one of my favourite comedienne hosted the event. As usual, she
entertained the guest with her intellectual wit and she's a proud Boholana.
Speakers from different departments of Bohol were there to invite everyone in
the event to visit their humble place and enjoy to the extreme.
One
of the highlights of the event was the performance of the famous Loboc
Children’s choir.
Nostalgia.
Their voices made me remember the time when I was in Bohol.
2011
when I visited the place with my bestfriends and a former lover. We visited the
great panglao and alona beaches and OMG, the water is so relaxing! Powdery whitish sand
plus blue crystal clear waters! Amazing!
Man
made forest is a definite must see in Bohol. It’s a proof that we can still
reincarnate our nature’s wonders through effort and dedication of the human
race. We also visited the Sandugo mark where a great history of the Philippines
is commemorated.
Hungry
but still wants to discover more? Try their floating restaurants. For a minimal
cost, you will be treated in a great buffet plus cool beach band playing while
strolling the river. You will also pass by some tribes who will do a little
performance in exchange of any donation. Heart whelming.
Explosion of colours and animal diversity when you stop by the butterfly garden and their mini safari. The specialist from the sanctuary will take a photo of you with a real butterfly wing! how? it's for you to find out. lol. Exotic animals like big snakes, ostirch, flying lemurs, owls etc houses their mini safari.
Not
so long ago, the province was hit by a strong earthquake and the historical
churches like Baclayon and Loboc were damaged. The local government is doing
their best to restore the beauty of the sacred places and be seen by the next
generation.
Bohol
visit will not be complete without seeing the nature's wonder, The Chocolate
Hills. Lumps of land bumps from one of the highest point is something you must
see and do when you're there. I can imagine what it looks like when its summer,
it will all look like domes of chocolates and uhmm uhmm uhmm I’ll much very
single one in my dreams. hehe.
Tarsiers
are known as the smallest primate and you can see them resting in a tree trunk
when you visit their sanctuary. Ohh. They’re so tiny and cute and so adorable I
just wanted to kiss them and hug them but it's a big no no. Let's leave the
cutie patotie at peace and just love them by looking at them.
When
you visit Asia and the Philippines, you must visit Bohol. You will enjoy every
single day and I personally love going back to this paradise over and over
again.
