"Take nothing but pictures, kill nothing but time, leave nothing but foot prints"
Creed I took few years back when I started enjoying climbing mountains and forest trekking. Just recently, I went back to the highland with my 3 great pals Kara ( http://www.traveling-up.com/ ), Estan (http://langyaw.com/ ) and Christine ( http://www.jovialwanderer.com/ ). It was my first time to discover the Bicol region and I was blessed to take the challenge of discovering the trails of the great falls of Mt. Isarog Camarines Sur.
A few minutes ride from Eurotel Hotel Naga City, we started our adventure with a quick briefing and some reminders from our drop off. We were welcomed by the warm hospitality of the locals and the majestic nature arts around us.
Honestly, I had an impression that it will just be a few minutes walk and we will just see at least 3 or 4 falls in just one area but when we started walking, it seems like I was braised to a great mountain climbing experience!

As we climb those vines and pass alot of streams, each falls showed their unique magnificence and enchanted our eyes with the beauty of the waters rushing from the top hill. Some rocks were slippery and the trek wasn't really easy so I can personally suggest, based on my experience, wear your best mountain sandals or shoes. Some vines and rocks weren't really sturdy so be very very careful.
Fresh air boosts up my endurance and the feeling of being back in the mountain frills my core. We passed some falls and they had a quick dip to some. the water is so relaxing and as we go higher, the beauty of mountain and the views also escalated.
Our safety were guaranteed by the best local guides of the area, they also play the role of care takes of the great gift from mother nature and aside from that, their humor will make you feel at ease in every step you take.
we then reached the final fall for the day and with no exaggeration, the place is so divine and immaculate, i felt like im looking at a great altar of pure God gifted awesomeness!
The cool breeze from the drop, the smell of fresh water, speechless. you can hear the roar of the water as it rages against the rock formation. Just simply amazing and its really a proof that Adventure is more fun in the Philippines, the long walk and risky trial was worth it to feel the and see the water fall.
Caves were formed in some areas of the water fall. It looks exciing to have a peak but then again, be careful :)
Overall, the Mt. ISarog experience is recommendable for those who already have mountin climbing experience and a pretty safe place for some first timers as long as you are guided. 4thumbs up for this place and I would certainly love to go back here over and over again! A MUST DO WHEN YOU ARE IN BICOL!
Special thanks to Nagax for taking good care of us during our stay in Naga city!
