It was a lazy Saturday afternoon when I was browsing my Facebook news feed when I saw my friend's post that they're having lunch before they head off to an event. I goofed on her post by asking if I could join, then.. she replied.. I replied.. she PMed her mobile, I sent her a viber message and poof! with barely an hour before the scheduled start of the event, I found my self rushing in a shower and packing my "blog kit" in a jipee!
Ay Lin of TheDailyPosh.net tagged me a photo of the event. Honestly, I have no idea who the main act was but what made me galloping my way to the event was the front act Kevyn Lettau. I was a fan of hers since I heard her song in a TV commercial :)
It was a sophisticated and elegant evening in Solaire Manila's grand ball room when I arrived just in the nick of time. Aylin was waiting in the lobby with her friend and to my surprise, a dear friend I met in an en event was there! sir Ted! lol. I was so uber under dressed with Ay's long green dress and power batubalani galore outfit ahahaha. Anyway, we walked to the event hall and the room was elegantly adored by a couple of chandeliers, it bursts beautiful reflection when the lights hit it.
A couple of guys and a beautiful lady in red took the stage and started the evening. At first I didn't recognize them but it's Mulatto! one of the finest singing group here in the Philippines. oh their voices... goosebumps! They had a set of around 3 - 5 songs before they handed over the center stage.
Kevyn Lettau, walked in and my heart was riding a pogo stick! yeah, like what I mentioned earlier, I love her song "Sunlight" since I heard it on TV. ( even downloaded it and listen to the song almost every morning while on my way to work!).

When she held the microphone, she first appreciated the love of the Filipinos in music, on how we appreciate songs like no other. She also admired our faith from the recent calamities we faced and she even had a share of love to the victims.
A beautiful lady with a divine voice and a kind heart, what else can we ask for for a singer to look up to?
She made us all come closer because she want to see and feel the warmth of the coming valentines day through our passion in loving music! Then.. she started to sing.. Beki jaw dropped. I was ecstatic! She performed with all her heart and introduced some of her new songs!
Masquenada, one of the famous foreign song made the audience sway on their chairs when she sang it and guess what?! she did beat boxing!!!! Twice!!! OH MI GAWD!!! everyone in the room screamed as they clapped their hands!! She's so elegant but was able to pull it off! hands down!
First piano key, made the crowd go wild! The most anticipated song of the night from Ms. Lettau, Sunlight!!! OH MI GAWD AGAIN! I forgot to took some shots or even a video!! I WAS IN NIRVANA! I never, ever, in my wildest dream, thought that I could watch her perform and yet there she was, in the stage infornt of me! I cant thank Ay and Sir Ted enough for tagging me along. I almost cried while singing!
I thought I already had the finest moment of the night but ... right after I packed my camera and we were on our way down, we saw Kevyn Lettau walking on her casual clothes and going our direction! I froze! yeah! like, almost a minute! Ay and her friend was like eager to take a picture with her so just before she turn to the escalator they asked her for some few shots and she gave us the warmest "yes sure". oh yeah.. my hands started to shake while my heart almost stop beating! Eeeeeeee!!! I can touch her! she's real! she's.. wwaahhhhh!! When it was my turn.. I was almost speechless!!!!!! all I said was "I'm a fan and I really love her songs! OH MY FRIGGIN GAWD FOR THE THIRD TIME!!!!!!! KEVYN LETTAU GAVE ME A COUPLE OF BESOS AND A VERY CALMING HUG!!!! then I died. LOL My head went blank and as she went down, she keeps on saying "Thank you!", I know I looked like a messy dork with a blank face a big fat SMILE in my face!
